Texture, Symmetry and Gestalt

sorry about the quality, i took 5 pictures and this was the best one. The texture on the right side is the egal on the back of a quarter collaged together. the teeth are are cut from a tick cardboard so they pop of the page a little bit. Everything else you can pretty much see.

I think that most of the symbol, at this point, is high contrast or high key. The background should probably combine a dense, low key low contrast texture with several principles of Gestalt aimed at asymmetrically moving our eye around the page.

Also, think about textures that may contrast the aggressive concept of your symbol. Perhaps you could create some dark and turbulent values in a much calmer texture.

Hope that helps!
